For only "the second time in the universe" Sir Paul treated an audience
to a reading of selections from his new Blackbird Singing poetry book.
"Oh, this is fun," Sir Paul exclaimed as each poem was greeted with
rapturous applause by the audience of 1,500 who attended the 92 YWHA
Theatre event on April 26th 2001.
Following the reading, Sir Paul was interviewed by Charlie Rose for
an American PBS television program to be broadcast next month.
An hour conversation with musician Paul McCartney about his time with
"The Beatles", his career since their break-up, his forays into classical
music, painting and poetry and his first book "Blackbird Singing",
an anthology of poems and lyrics. McCartney also discusses the process
of writing, compiling and publishing his poetry and an upcoming album in
the works.

On June 12, 2001 in Los Angeles, Sir Paul taped an hour-long television
interview with Larry King to be broadcast on CNN later in the evening.
Heather Mills joined Sir Paul at the end of interview discuss their
anti-landmine campaign.
